If you’re trying to lose weight, there’s a high chance that you’ve looked up every diet going – and there are many! However, the paleo diet is becoming increasingly popular with those that want to shed a few pounds. Often called the “Caveman Diet,” this plan removes all modern and processed foods from your diet. Instead, you survive on foods that could have been foraged by cavemen, such as vegetables, fruit, and meat. But what snacks can you eat on the Paleo diet?

Cauliflower Popcorn
On the paleo diet, you can’t eat corn – which means that popcorn out of the question. Yet, if you’re trying to find snacks for your movie night, you don’t need to worry. Cauliflower popcorn will allow you to snack the night away, and it’s super easy to make. Simply place the florets into the oven for 30 minutes, and then top with chives and onion powder to finish.

Avocado Deviled Eggs
You’ll be happy to know that eggs and avocado are allowed on the paleo diet, and that together they make an awesome snack. For a new and exciting take on deviled eggs, all you have to do is mash the avocado up with the hard-boiled eggs yolks. If you want to add a bit of spice, you can top these eggs with a generous sprinkling of pepper.

Beef Jerky
The paleo diet is full of meat, as our cave-dwelling ancestors would normally hunt for their protein. Because of this, beef jerky is totally on the menu! However, it’s always best to make your own jerky when following the paleo diet, as you know exactly what goes into it. All you need is a dehydrator and some beef, and you’re ready to go.

Grilled Peaches
If you’re ever in doubt as to whether a food is paleo or not, just opt for a fruit or vegetable instead. Grilled peaches are a sweet addition to your snacking venture, and they can taste utterly delicious when you top them with cinnamon or squeeze some natural honey on the top of them.
Although many people believe you can’t snack on the paleo diet, what they don’t realize is that there are more than enough paleo snacks out there!
