Chef Nancy Silverton and Brand Made In’s Partnership Hits the Jackpot Again

Chef Nancy Silverton has once again partnered with cookware company Made In to launch a collection of porcelain baking dishes. The collaboration, which started with a bread knife, has spread out to include a bakeware set and now a baking slab. The partnership between these two has been built on identifying a gap in the culinary market, and then coming together to execute the vision to build a bridge.

Communication

Chef Nancy Silverton, the owner of the Michelin Star restaurant Osteria Mozza, stated she found that there was a shortage of dishes in the market to present a slab pie, other than a sheet pan. She was closely involved in the development of the product, also viewing it in 3D plastic form to get a visual. Jake Kalick, president and co-founder of Made In, has praised Silverton for her knowledge and expertise and commented that the brand is always excited to learn and work with her. Communication, which is a two-way street for both the brand and the chef, is one of the reasons this is the fourth successful partnership for the two.

Silverton has commented that one of the best ways to determine who to collaborate with is to look at the other partnerships the brand has. Made In has collaborated with other chefs like Matt Horn, Tom Colicchio, and Éric Ripert — something that has undoubtedly cemented its reputation as a company with high-quality services. With Silverton’s innovative design and vision and Made In’s proven reputation as a company able to execute that vision, the result was a baking slab that sold out within six hours of the launch. The 1990 Food & Wine Best Chef winner has hit the jackpot on brand partnerships with Made In, and hopefully, the porcelain baking dish won’t be the last product they add to the culinary market.
