Disneyland Just Got Better For Adults As They Announce Their First Brewery

Adults usually go to Disneyland to feel like kids again, reminiscing on their favorite childhood Disney stars or taking in all the joyous attractions the park has to offer. If adults wanted to drink in Disneyland, their best bet was heading over to Epcot, where they can drink around the world at all the different stands.

However, the latest edition to the park means that there are plenty more boozy options for Disney-loving adults. San Diego brewing company Ballast Point recently announced they will be opening a brewery, a tasting room and kitchen in the Downtown Disney District later this year.

Ballast Point will boast a huge 7,300-square-foot space, complete with an outdoor beer garden where visitors can drink beer al-fresco. In addition, the restaurant will be serving up dishes inspired by the company’s hometown of San Diego, including everything from fish taco’s to seafood and pizza.

Disney California Adventures and Downtown Disney’s Vice President, Patrick Finnegan, said of the new construction “We are thrilled to welcome Ballast Point to Downtown Disney. Our Guests are constantly asking for new and innovative dining experience, and Ballast Point’s selection of award-winning beers, locally inspired cuisine, and friendly atmosphere make them a perfect fit.”

While you many be wondering how to visit if you’re there with the kids, fear not as Ballast Point explained that the space will be family-friendly and you can have a cold beer while having dinner with the family. The new addition is the perfect place for parents who want to enjoy Disney experience too, a place that is mostly aimed at kids.

The brewery is part of the expansion effort made by Disney bosses who wanted to create more adult-focused attractions for food and beverage lovers. The brewery addition comes off the back of the announcement of an upscale wine bar opening soon, as well as some alcohol infused slushies made at the park.
